Introducing AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 Series Graphics Cards

The Radeon™ RX graphics family introduces a product series based on new extreme gaming architecture for high-fidelity gaming, premium VR experiences, and 8K media consumption. It’s the evolution of high-performance gaming.

The New Extreme Radeon™ DNA Architecture

The new Radeon™ RX 5700 series powered by Radeon DNA Architecture (RDNA), the most advanced 7nm gaming architecture AMD has ever engineered, delivers superior performance and power.

Based on RDNA, AMD’s new foundational gaming architecture, AMD projects performance gains of up to 1.5X over previous generation products, offering better gaming performance at lower latency and power costs.1,2

Featuring up to 40 completely redesigned Compute Units delivering incredible performance and up to 4x architecturally enabled instructions per clock (IPC) improvements, the new Radeon™ RX 5700 series is designed from the ground up to elevate visual experiences to the next level.3

Fitted with 8GB of GDDR6 and PCI Express™ 4.0 support, gamers and creators can say goodbye to restrictions, and enjoy being untethered as they play, design, and develop.

The Radeon™ RX 5700 series features two graphics cards:

  • Radeon™ RX 5700 XT: 40 Compute Units, 8GB of GDDR6 Memory
  • Radeon™ RX 5700: 36 Compute Units, 8GB of GDDR6 Memory

Advanced 7nm Technology

More performance in a smaller GPU, compared to the previous generation Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture. It is projected to provide up to 1.25X higher performance-per-clock and up to 1.5X higher performance-per-watt over GCN, enabling better gaming performance at lower power and reduced latency.4,5

PCI Express™ 4.0 Support

The world’s first PCIe 4.0 ready graphics product. With twice the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0, gamers and creators will experience 42% faster storage performance.6

8GB GDDR6 Memory

Provides up to 14 Gbps of bandwidth, enabling 1440p performance for today’s most demanding gamers.

DisplayPort™ 1.4

Gamers will enjoy playing at up to 8K resolution at 60Hz, or 5K at 120Hz, with DP 1.4 and Display Stream Compression technology.

The AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 series brings a wealth of new potential for customers. Providing a premium VR-ready experience by meeting or exceeding recommended specifications, compatibility with Radeon™ exclusives like Radeon™ FreeSync™ 2 and FreeSync™ 2 HDR, and the customizable gaming experience with a suite of gaming features from Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition.7,8, 13

3rd Generation Ryzen™ processors, Radeon™ RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT graphics, and 500-series chipset motherboards will be available July 7th this year.
